The Homeopathic Consultation
During the homeopathic consultation the homeopath aims to find the remedy that matches most appropriately the patient's symptoms and general state of health. The consultation focuses on any symptoms the patient finds disturbing to her/his sense of health. Keeping the holistic view in mind, all aspects of the patient’s state of health will be considered, for example digestion, sleep, skin, emotions, respiration, etc.
 
The first consultation usually lasts an hour and a half and is to be followed by a 45 minute appointment four weeks later. Any changes in health will be assessed to determine the degree of improvement and a plan for the patient's continued treatment is made.
